How It Works?

It could all be so simple - Umbrella companies work by providing a direct employment solution to contractors and freelancers who may not want to contract through their own business or are not in a position to do so. An Umbrella Company will act as a direct employer which makes them responsible for taking care of PAYE and NI obligations, processing all timesheets and any (allowable) expenses, and in our case delivering same day payments directly to your account. Our team of experts can do this whilst eliminating any risk of error. By removing these burdens our Umbrella employees have been able to invest their newly found free time to focus on their own projects safe in the knowledge that their finances are being correctly managed by DFO Consulting.

  • We will also provide you with 3 annual references [ character references or supporting references for your visa applications, mortgages, and tenancy applications]. Subject to terms and conditions, (must be with us for 12 months)

The DFO Umbrella Process

You become an employee of DFO Consulting.
You use our Bespoke portal to submit your timesheets.
Client pays Agency for work completed.
Agency send us payment.
We deduct all relevant NI and tax and make sure you are paid that same day!
